South Africa and England have a long history of intense cricket matches on both sides of the pond, but none of them match the thrill of England’s summer tour against the Proteas in South Africa. We can combine your South African holiday with a tour of the best tests, ODIs and T20s between these two mighty rivals.
It doesn’t have to be a tour of only cricket-watching, although we can do that if you’d like. We can make it part of a wider tour of South Africa, taking in the classic destinations of Cape Town & Kruger, possibly a trip up the Garden Route or a wider-reaching journey that includes safari & beach.
You can join the Barmy Army in following England for one or two matches or for the whole tour; we’ll arrange match tickets and hospitality packages at each game.
The New Year test is usually played at Newlands in Cape Town. With Table Mountain looming in the background, it is one of the most iconic cricket grounds in the world, 2nd only to Lords according to ‘The Cricketer’ magazine. The tour also takes in The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg aka ‘The Bullring’, Kingsmead in Durban (where the boxing day test is usually played), Centurion In Pretoria & St Georges Park in Port Elizabeth.
